HOW LONG IS A GREEN CARD GOOD FOR?
Typically, a green card is good for 10 years. It's kind of ironic they call it a permanent resident card, but there's nothing permanent about it these days. The government wants to, for security reasons, make sure they're keeping up with people, so the standard green card is good for 10 years. A conditional green card, which is one that is given upon a marriage of less than two years, is a green card which is only good for two years, so if you have a conditional green card, you have a little bit more work. You have to remove the conditions within the two-year timeframe.
