WHAT SHOULD I LOOK FOR IN HIRING A FRANCHISE ATTORNEY?

Well, the first thing is not to accept the statement from a lawyer that it's nothing I can't do. Business lawyer is fine, but doesn't have the skill that a franchise attorney does. There are couple hundred franchise attorneys around the US. They're members of the franchise forum of the American Bar Association and they focus on franchise matters. That's what I do. I tell people it's a little bit like a doctor that a doctor can look at something and that's fine in an emergency, but if you need a ear, nose, and throat, you go to the ear, nose, and throat guy.
