You can be deported if you have a green card. The green card is no guarantee. The only guarantee that you won't be deported is by obtaining us citizenship by way of naturalization. But if you are in the wrong place at the wrong time or have criminal involvement, particularly with what the government calls crimes involving moral turpitude, you can find yourself in immigration court and potentially being removed from this country.
